Judy Oliver

Judy Oliver – Training Consultant

Judy is an experienced coach, facilitator and trainer whose portfolio covers all sectors, particularly those organisations involved in the commissioning or provision of healthcare or health-related services.  Her clients include the General Medical Council, Health Ombudsman’s Office, Strategic Health Authorities, numerous Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and prospective or actual Foundation Trusts.  Most recently she has designed and delivered bespoke development programmes for the GPs who are members of the new Pathfinder GP Consortia to help them raise their game and ensure that commissioning in the NHS is at a world class standard.  She is also actively involved in supporting the leadership development of junior doctors to help produce the next generation of clinical leaders.

Judy’s own career background incorporates experience at a senior level within the private sector, at BP, local government and at Kent County Council.  She was a Non-Executive Director in two hospital trusts and a PCT over a period of twelve years, during which time she was involved in PFI development, turnaround situations and the application process for Foundation Trust status.  Judy has a business degree and is a qualified barrister, specialising in employment law.  She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an accredited trainer using Myers Brigg Type Indicator, Time to Think (Nancy Kline) and Transition Management (William Bridges).
