Catalina McGregor - Chair, HMG Green IT Delivery Unit, Cabinet Office

Cate McGregor is both Founder and Chair of the Green ICT Delivery sub group to the CIO/CTO Council. It is this unit today that is both writing and setting standards and targets for government in Green ICT. She has an intensive private sector background in IT and has served 2 long term secondments into the MOD for DE&S DFN (a 2.23 billion per annum BT partnership) and more recently the DE&S DSA where she is currently Chief Whitehall Advisor on pan-government green cooperative development. Sir Ian Andrews, Chair of the main central Government Board for Sustainable Operations and Procurement, instructed this specific area of the MOD to increase its services pan-Whitehall and it has, for example, co-produced the HMG Green ICT Scorecard model currently in use throughout Government today via a through-life disposals ICT IP trade with Gartner.

She also sits on the pan-MOD sustainable procurement programme office (SPPO) responsible for a proactive scheme with MOD key suppliers for sustainable procurement.
