Michael Evans - Former Private Secretary to Chief Scientific Advisor to HM Government

Michael Evans is a partner at business communications consultancy The Madano Partnership. Prior to joining Madano, Michael spent his career working for the UK Government on science, environmental and energy policy. Most recently he was Private Secretary to the Government's Chief Scientific Adviser, Sir David King and John Beddington. During his five years working with Sir David, Michael provided presentational advice on a range of major issues, from avian flu and foot and mouth to climate change and energy policy. He was also involved in the UK'S G8 Presidency in 2005 and has represented the UK at official level at G8 Science and Technology Meetings. Michael worked on the 2003 and 2007 Energy White Papers as well as the 2006 UK Energy Review. He was also involved in the formation of the Energy Technologies Institute, the £1 billion public-private partnership aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. He continues to advise the Energy Research Partnership.
