Martin Murphy - Supply Chain Management Consultant

Martin is the Managing Director of SCMG, operating at programme manager and senior consultant up to executive and board level with 15 years private and public sector procurement experience. Involved in over £1 billion of tenders with buy and bid experience, Martin has provided strategic procurement advice and tactical support to public sector clients. This includes procurement strategy development and implementation from Policy to Process level and organisational design. He has specified and managed (from CN to CAN) over 60 OJEU (2004/18/EC) tender processes on behalf of clients including goods, works and services in the past three years.

He has facilitated tender process, prequalification, including web-based prequalification and on-line tender portal for two public sector clients, itt evaluation, briefing and debriefing sessions including managing unsuccessful candidates on behalf of clients as well as bid conditioning and final negotiations with suppliers and contractors. His clients include Local Authorities, Non Departmental Public Bodies, the Higher Education Sector, NHS, TfL / London Underground and multiple blue chip clients in the private sector.
