Hannah Hall
Hannah Hall is Head of Communication and Change at the Met Police. She has created a centre of excellence for change management within the Met Police to support major modernisation programmes including a £750m programme to revolutionise the way the Met handles 999 calls, and a programme to improve how the police manages its information, in the wake of the Soham murders.
A communication specialist, and MBA graduate, with over 15 years' experience working in the public sector, Hannah has used business knowledge to reposition communication within the Met as a strategic management tool. Her unique approach combines creativity with the development of robust methodologies, which are integrated into the corporate planning and programme lifecycles.
Working with the Met's Leadership Academy she is changing the mindset of the Met about internal communications; educating staff in how communication to mitigate risk, and drive reward and recognition as well as building organisational reputation. She has designed and delivers a bespoke change communication training programme for all levels of the organisation from the Commissioner down to Police Sergeant helping them to embrace their role as effective communicators and visible leaders.
Before joining the Met, Hannah worked as a management consultant. In this role she led a ministerial level review of the Cabinet Office's communication strategy for Y2K, worked as a turnaround consultant for the Department of Education and Skills to improve Local Education Authority performance, and assisted the armed services with the recruitment and retention of service personnel.
