Brian Glickman - Parliamentary Training Consultant

Brian Glickman is a freelance consultant, speaker and writer. Brian was previously a senior civil servant in the Department for Education and Skills. In a 25-year career as a civil servant, Brian held many posts. He was private secretary to 2 ministers for Higher Education, worked on several pieces of legislation, ran large operations, one with an annual budget of over £250 million, and is experienced as a manager and leader, implementing change and in project, programme and contract manangement. Brian has held policy posts which have included: introducing the GCSE; bringing in National Curriculum assessment; teacher supply and recruitment; and local government reorganisation. While a director in the Government Office for London, Brian had responsibility for promoting employment, enterprise, business and the people side of regeneration on behalf of 3 government departments. Brian is currently writing a volume of essays and has contributed to events for the LSE, QMW Public Policy Seminars, the University of Bath, the National School for Government and the London Leadership Centre.
