Stephen Leach CB - Former Senior Civil Servant

Stephen Leach CB is a retired senior civil servant. He was Director of Criminal Justice in the Northern Ireland Office and Chair of the Northern Ireland Criminal Justice Board from 2000 to 2009. Before that he held a range of other posts in the NIO, covering areas which included political and economic development and policing and security policy, and was Principal Private Secretary to two Secretaries of State. He also had spells in the Department of Finance and Personnel and the Department of Energy in Whitehall, as well as undertaking research as a Fulbright Fellow in the USA.
