Martin Kinsella MBE - Chief Executive, P3
Martin Kinsella has been Chief Executive of P3 since 2002. The organisation exists to deliver a range of services and create opportunities for vulnerable and disadvantaged people: offering effective and lasting routes out of social exclusion and homelessness. Currently they are one of the 2007-10 Cabinet Office ACE chronic exclusion pilots.
Over the last 5, years P3 has grown from employing 35 staff to over 500. During that time they have won numerous awards, including:
- Charity Times Magazine - 2005 UK Charity of the Year.
- Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies List - No.1 in 2007/08 (now No.4 in the 2008/09 list).
Martin was previously Director of Modernisation and Service Development Consultant for Southern Derbyshire Health Authority (SDHA); Mental Health Commissioner for SDHA; Development Director for NSF/Rethink; and also worked with offenders for Stonham Housing Association. Before that he was a table tennis professional.
Martin is a Cabinet Office Social Enterprise Ambassador for England and, in addition to Mental Health Providers Forum, is board member of SITRA and Social Enterprise East Midlands, Chair of Supported Housing Action Wolverhampton. He is also the founder of Notts Advocacy Alliance and Derbyshire User Voice.
Martin has an MA in Policy, Organisation and Change in Professional Care (1st) and has lectured and researched in Health and Social Care at Loughborough University.
