Richard Parry - University of Edinburgh
Richard Parry is Reader in Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh and Head of Social Policy in the School of Social and Political Science. He worked previously at the University of Strathclyde and in the civil service in London and Edinburgh.
His principal research areas are public resource allocation (public expenditure and public employment) and policy-making and public administration in the UK, especially in the devolved systems. His latest publication is a chapter on 'Quangos, agencies and the Scottish Parliament' in the Hansard Society Scotland's book 'The Scottish Parliament 1999-2009: the First Decade' being published in May 2009.
