Patrick Harvie MSP - Scottish Green Party, Glasgow Region

Serving as an MSP for Glasgow since 2003, Patrick has taken a particular interest in environmental issues like climate change, as well as equality and civil liberties, food, energy and IT.

Quickly after becoming an MSP, he raised the issue of civil partnership in the Scottish Parliament. As a member of the Communities Committee of the Scottish Parliament throughout the 2003-7 session, he worked on the Antisocial Behaviour Bill, the Charities Bill and the Housing Bill, as well as on issues of homelessness, debt, the planning system and building standards. In the current parliamentary session he serves as convenor of the Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change Committee.
