Colin Mackay - Political Commentator

Colin Mackay has been Political Editor for seven of Scotland's biggest commercial radio stations since 1999. Previously he worked for the BBC around Scotland and as a senior producer on Good Morning Ulster. After the first Scottish Parliament election Colin took up his current post covering Holyrood for Radio Clyde, Forth, Northsound, Tay, Moray Firth, Westsound and Border, now part of the Bauer Media group. He is also a regular political commentator on television.

Colin has reported from the Scottish Parliament since it started and has covered every First Minister's Questions for the last ten years. He was reporter of the year in the 2007 UK IRN awards and his election coverage has won two gold medals at the New York Radio Festival.
