Mike Dixon - Special Advisor to Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP

Mike Dixon is Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs where he works on policy and political issues.Mike previously worked for the think tank ippr (Institute for Public Policy Research), where he published widely on youth policy, labour markets, political economy, demographics, crime, and social and economic trends, working closely with leading academics and politicians. He has also worked on secondment to the DfES.Prior to working for ippr, Mike was an Advertising Executive at Ogilvy & Mather, the global communications and branding firm.He has written for a wide range of journals, newspapers and magazines and has been a regular media commentator on policy and social issues.
