Cllr Melvyn Howell

Henry Smith has been a County Councillor since 1997 and became the Leader of the Council in 2003 when at 34 he was the youngest county leader in the country. He is currently Chairman of the South East County Leaders grouping which represents all county councils across the greater South East of England.

Henry is also currently a member of the Governance and East Crawl County Local Committees. He also represents the County Council in the County Joint Leaders’ Group and County Council Network.
