Ellie Levenson

Ellie Levenson - Communications Specialist

Ellie studied English Literature at Manchester University from 1996-99 and took a Postgraduate Diploma in Periodical Journalism at City University from 2000-01.

Her first job in journalism was as a reporter at The Lawyer. She left this role when she won the Netjetter competition in the Guardian and was given a round the world trip and weekly column for four months.

On her return Ellie became editor of Fabian Review at the Fabian Society, a left of centre think tank. She left the Fabian Society in 2004 to set up the press and communications team for the charity End Child Poverty. During all this time she also worked as a freelance journalist. She is also co-editor of Fabian Thinkers: 120 years of progressive thought, and author of one of the chapters. You can buy it HERE.

Ellie left full time employment in January 2005 and now works as a freelance journalist and has a part-time role as a lecturer in journalism at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
