Duncan Hamilton - Former MSP and Special Advisor to Alex Salmond

Duncan was a Scottish National Party Member of the Scottish Parliament for Highlands and Islands from 1999-2003, becoming the youngest member of the Scottish Parliament in the process. Having decided not to stand for re-election in 2003 in order to pursue a career in law, Duncan returned to politics in May 2007 by becoming a part-time political advisor to First Minister Alex Salmond, a post he held until August 2008. He has also been a regular contributor to The Scotsman.
