Christian Yves Krappitz - Political Officer

Born in Cologne, Germany, Christian read European Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004. He continued university studies with a Masters in European Studies at the Centre for European Integration Studies at the University of Bonn, from where he graduated in 2005. Following a brief time in the press office of the European Commission Representation in the UK he then began working as a political officer in 2006. His main tasks are communication of Commission policies to the UK public, monitoring developments in the UK, reporting and organising Commissioner visits. He specialise in the fields of justice and home affairs, enlargement, social affairs and better regulation.
